Rio Tinto Group and University of Science and Technology Beijing join hands to promote low-carbon technology innovation and talent cultivation.

Rio Tinto Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Science and Technology Beijing on November 26th at the second China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo.


This new cooperative relationship signifies that Rio Tinto is fully leveraging the innovative capabilities and talent advantages of Chinese academic institutions, marking a new progress in addressing global sustainable development challenges.


According to the MOU, Rio Tinto and the University of Science and Technology Beijing will jointly promote several initiatives in the field of carbon reduction and industrial waste management, including establishing low-carbon innovation awards, holding technical exchange meetings to explore technological potential, conducting joint research and development projects, and organizing summer camp activities for young talents.


Through this cooperation, Rio Tinto further strengthens its practice in the field of sustainable development, promotes technological progress, and cultivates outstanding talents who can contribute to a low-carbon future.
