On November 26th, the 2nd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo (referred to as "Chain Expo") opened in Beijing. As the world's first national-level exhibition themed on supply chains, it aims to promote global industrial and supply chain cooperation and promote the healthy development of economic globalization. The inaugural event received widespread attention. This year, Panasonic exhibited at the Chain Expo for the first time, showcasing its presence in the health and life chain. With the business slogan "Care Beyond Boundaries, Joy in Body and Mind," Panasonic demonstrated intelligent health living spaces and products and solutions that support the "Silver Economy," hoping to contribute to the better life and extended healthy lifespan of Chinese consumers. At the same time, Panasonic will use the Chain Expo as an important link to work with partners to contribute to the stable development of the global industrial and supply chains.
Panasonic continues to delve into the Chinese market, innovate based on local conditions, and currently has three main business pillars in China: intelligent health living spaces, mobility, and intelligent manufacturing. From the dimensions of "living space" and "environment," Panasonic contributes to solving China's social issues, aiding high-quality economic development, and achieving dual-carbon goals.
In the field of intelligent health living spaces, Panasonic leverages over 20 years of experience in the elderly care industry in Japan and the experience in building sustainable smart cities (SST), integrating air, water, and light—the three key elements of healthy living—to launch the Wellness Smart business (WS) in the Chinese market. Its mission is to "extend the healthy lifespan of Chinese people and contribute to the global environment." Currently, there are 38 projects underway, including all-age coexistence health communities, cultural tourism, and rental projects. In terms of aging-friendly products, Panasonic combines the current situation of the Chinese market to create products suitable for the elderly and those in need of care from aspects of smart elderly care, rehabilitation nursing, and medical health. In addition, Panasonic's elderly care services, hardware technology, and aging-friendly modifications in Japan will also be adapted to the Chinese national conditions and developed in a Chinese way, providing more solutions for customers and partners. Panasonic focuses on the development of the "Silver Economy" from a life cycle perspective, expanding the new blue ocean of elderly care in a people-oriented and situation-appropriate manner.
At this Chain Expo, Panasonic showcased its care and professionalism through four areas: entrance, kitchen, living room, and elderly care, with spatial and scenario-based display forms, strengthening the overall solution of health care and living space, and creating differentiated competitiveness.
The entrance area plays an important role in home storage and safety. Panasonic's smart locks have various unlocking modes and multiple alarms to protect the safety of family members entering and exiting. The rotating shoe rack inside the shoe cabinet is designed for 180-degree free rotation, double-sided use, with removable partitions for easy cleaning and height adjustment. The i-shelf storage system in the clothing storage area is composed of various modules, which can be flexibly matched and finely organized through accessory selection, saying goodbye to clutter and maximizing storage capacity.
In the kitchen area, the X-CLASS Japanese lifestyle kitchen suite is paired with the Cloud Realm series of kitchen appliances, featuring a cabinet-electricity integrated design to create a harmonious and unified visual experience. This suite also innovatively uses Panasonic's imported Sugopika material for countertops and sinks, which has the natural texture of high-end stone and is also easy to clean, scratch-resistant, and heat-resistant. The same material for countertops and sinks can achieve a seamless integrated design, greatly enhancing the product's aesthetics and practicality.
In the living room area, Panasonic creates a comfortable relaxation time. The Panasonic massage chair is equipped with a 4D REAL PRO intelligent sensing mechanism and an SJ-type guide rail, achieving a 170° comfortable lying posture for a carefree massage experience. The Panasonic smart TV can be voice-controlled, with clear and delicate images, supporting a high refresh rate of 144Hz for an immersive experience. Paired with the Technics turntable, one can enjoy a smooth entertainment experience without leaving home.
In the elderly care area, Panasonic exhibited aging-friendly products such as smart electric beds, electric wheelchairs, folding bathing chairs, aging-friendly bathroom cabinets, movable handrails, and small medical oxygen generators. The smart electric bed can adjust the back angle and is equipped with a back pressure relief system, making it more stable and comfortable for the elderly to get up; the electric wheelchair is designed to be lightweight and can be stored in narrow spaces; the folding bathing chair helps the elderly bathe safely. Panasonic builds a new health care ecosystem through high-quality, humanized, and intelligent elderly care products and services.
On the evening of the 25th, Panasonic Holdings Corporation's Global Vice President and Chief Representative of Northeast Asia, Tetsuro Homma, and Executive Director of Panasonic Holdings Corporation, responsible for government relations in the Kansai region and the Osaka World Expo, Satoko Ogawa, attended the 2nd Chain Expo welcome and exchange dinner. Ms. Ogawa, also a jazz pianist, brought an elegant piano performance to the event, playing warm winter melodies and linking the wonderful world through music.
On the morning of the 26th, Tetsuro Homma attended the opening ceremony of the 2nd Chain Expo. He said: The Chain Expo has built a platform for enterprises to communicate and learn from government agencies and upstream and downstream supply chain enterprises, and it is also a good opportunity to showcase their strength and understand cutting-edge trends. Currently, in China, there are more than 6,000 suppliers providing components, modules, and raw materials to Panasonic's enterprises in China and the group's overseas enterprises. In today's era, China is increasingly highlighting the advantages of a stable, reliable, and flexible industrial and supply chain, and the stability of China's industrial and supply chain is related to the development of Panasonic and many foreign enterprises. He hopes to use the platform of the Chain Expo to strengthen communication with the industry upstream and downstream, expand the industrial chain circle of friends, extend the supply chain partner network, create the driving force of the innovation chain, gather chains into groups, and make the magnetic power of the Chinese market stronger.
