On November 24th, TikTok Shop announced a new service for merchants engaged in cross-border e-commerce in the United States, known as "Platform Connection to Overseas Warehouses." This service allows merchants to send goods directly to overseas warehouses without going through the platform.

The "Platform Connection to Overseas Warehouses" refers to overseas warehouses that have already achieved system integration with TikTok Shop. They can assist merchants in fulfilling orders with the authorization of the merchants. However, merchants still need to follow the basic requirements and assessment standards for self-shipping, as this service is still considered the merchant's own shipping behavior.

TikTok Shop only provides system integration services and does not participate in any cooperation matters between merchants and service providers. This means that merchants need to directly negotiate prices, choose services, and reach service agreements with service providers for the complete self-shipping fulfillment process. Merchants are also responsible for the final fulfillment quality and are subject to corresponding assessments.

TikTok Shop pointed out that from November 1, 2024, all cross-border merchants with qualifications for shipping from local overseas warehouses in the United States can independently establish contact with service providers and prepare inventory, while authorizing service providers to upload relevant information. Due to the different product interfaces and platform connection methods of various connected overseas warehouses, most of the authorization and configuration work needs to be completed at the overseas warehouses. Merchants need to contact the account managers of the connected overseas warehouses they use to obtain detailed system configuration guidance.
