On November 12, 2024, the "Cross-Border E-Commerce Empowering Hubei Industries Internationalization" training session, co-hosted by the Hubei Provincial Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and the Xiangyang Municipal Government, was successfully held in Xiangyang City. Shi Minghui, Deputy Director of the Hubei Provincial Committee for the Promotion of International Trade, and Zhu Dongbin, Deputy Mayor of Xiangyang City, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony, and Li Jun, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Service Trade, also attended the event. The conference attracted the participation of cross-border e-commerce platforms including Temu, Amazon, eBay, Alibaba International Station, Made-in-China, and Mercado, who shared their cross-border business experiences. Approximately 200 representatives from foreign trade enterprises in industries such as automotive parts, clothing, cosmetics, sanitary ware, and outdoor products attended the conference. During the conference, the Hubei International Chamber of Commerce Cross-Border E-Commerce Committee was officially established.


Shi Minghui emphasized that the Hubei Provincial Government has implemented a series of measures to promote digital trade and cross-border e-commerce exports, supporting Hubei's industries and products to enter the international market. The Hubei Provincial Committee for the Promotion of International Trade will leverage its international resources, cooperative platforms, and foreign trade law services to promote the development model of "cross-border e-commerce + advantage industry belts," using cross-border e-commerce to help Hubei's industry belts brand and product go global, while empowering the high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce with the strength of the industry belts.


Zhu Dongbin stated that Xiangyang City places great importance on the development of cross-border e-commerce and is committed to enhancing its quality. Xiangyang City has formulated a series of policy documents to support the development of cross-border e-commerce and has taken the lead in Hubei Province to establish an online comprehensive service platform for cross-border e-commerce, providing a digital path for the internationalization of enterprise brands. Xiangyang City will continue to promote innovation in systems, management, and services to create favorable conditions for the development of cross-border e-commerce.


During the conference, experts from cross-border e-commerce platforms conducted in-depth analysis and discussions on transformation challenges, product selection, team building, supply chain and inventory management, compliance, and brand building. Representatives from Alibaba International Station detailed the new business model for whole vehicle exports, shared Alibaba's successful cases in this area, and discussed future development trends and opportunities.


Officials from Lianlian International introduced the role and advantages of digital payments in cross-border e-commerce, emphasizing the importance of payment security, convenience, and efficiency in enhancing enterprise competitiveness.


The Operations Director of SanTouLiuBi shared the company's successful cases and experiences in the field of cross-border e-commerce, encouraging enterprises to dare to try and innovate, and actively explore international markets.


The person in charge of the new energy project incubation of Made-in-China Hubei District shared how to accelerate the internationalization process of enterprises through online models and analyzed in detail the methods and strategies for using online models to improve enterprise performance.


Wuhan Customs interpreted and answered questions from the scene about cross-border e-commerce policies. Participating enterprise representatives actively participated in the discussion, and the response was enthusiastic.


The conference also held the establishment ceremony of the Hubei International Chamber of Commerce Cross-Border E-Commerce Committee, with the Hubei E-Commerce Industry Association serving as the director unit and the SanTouLiuBi Cross-Border E-Commerce Alliance Wuhan Branch serving as the deputy director unit.
