On October 26, 2024, Nanchang Changbei International Airport reached a significant milestone as a fully loaded cargo aircraft carrying cross-border e-commerce goods successfully took off, marking the first direct cargo flight route from Jiangxi Province to Europe for cross-border e-commerce.

The cargo on this flight primarily consisted of everyday items such as clothing, shoes, and decorative items, with a total weight of 40 tons and a value of approximately 3 million yuan, destined for Belgium. The launch of this route not only promotes the overseas sales of "Made in China" products but also meets the demand for European air cargo services in Jiangxi and its surrounding areas.

To support the smooth operation of this new route, the customs at Nanchang Changbei Airport have taken multiple measures. They have adjusted human resource allocation in response to the diverse range of cross-border e-commerce goods, the heavy inspection tasks, and the high demand for timeliness, and have provided weekend appointment overtime services. Furthermore, through the construction of smart customs, the customs department has continuously simplified the customs clearance process, thereby enhancing the efficiency of cross-border e-commerce business at the Nanchang port.

According to the latest statistics, the number of cross-border e-commerce export parcels at the Nanchang port has increased by more than 50% year-on-year in the first ten months of this year. This growth indicates that the service capacity of Nanchang Changbei International Airport in the field of cross-border e-commerce is continuously strengthening, injecting new vitality into the regional economic development.
